Spring General Membership Meeting Recap

Nearly 300 members joined the Illinois Road & Transportation Builders Association for its Spring General Membership Meeting yesterday which featured presentations, updates, and discussions lead by members of the Chicago Transportation Team:

• John Roberson, City of Chicago Chief Operating Officer
• Jamie Rhee, Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner
• Tom Carney, Chicago Department of Transportation Commissioner 

IRTBA was honored to host these industry leaders and thanks them for their support and contribution. Members heard firsthand the roadmap for Mayor Johnson’s Administration. COO Roberson stressed the importance of nurturing students and exposing them to the numerous opportunities available in the transportation industry. Commissioner Rhee and Commissioner Carney both shared upcoming projects available for bid this year and next in Chicago and at both O’Hare and Midway airports. Additionally, IRTBA hosted an Emerging Leaders Alumni Reception prior to the general session. Thank you to all the alumni who came out to network with members of the past 16 graduating classes. It was exciting to see how far everyone has come since their time in ELP!
